Reparatur einer Winde
Projektinformationen
On a Friday evening a customer asked us for help.
On Monday at 6 a. m. our technicians packed all tools they would need for this short-term assignment.
They left on Tuesday. Two technicians went to Brunsbüttel together with the customer in order to dismount a windlass from the deck. The bearing of the windlass was damaged, so the windlass had to be brought to our company in Holm.
After the windlass was not easy to be dismount, it could finally be unloaded successfully in the evening in Holm. Together with the customer and our turner our technicians dismantled the windlass and directly started measuring the shaft and the drum.
After all parts had been measured, the turner produced the new bronze bush custom-fit. The drum was processed on our drilling machine and equipped with the bushes.
The windlass could be put into operation aboard again on Friday after four days, so that there were no waiting times for the ship which was meanwhile unloaded.
